About National Teachers' Training College
One of the prestigious and oldest teacher training institutions in Bihar, situated at the heart of capital Patna beside the Holy Ganges River. Run by READ, recognized by the N.C.T.E., and affiliated with Patliputra University.
A Legacy of Educational Excellence & Social Upliftment
National Teacher's Training College, Patna is one of the most prestigious and oldest teacher training institutions in Bihar, established on 25th April 2007. It subsequently gained formal recognition from the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), and recognized Institution status from the Government of Bihar since 2007.
Located in the heart of Bihar's capital city Patna and peacefully situated beside the serene banks of the Holy Ganges River, the institution is administered by the READ (Rural Education Area Development), Patna, Bihar. READ was founded in the year 2006 by visionary and eminent citizens of Patna, deeply inspired by the progressive educational philosophy and reformative efforts of Sir Syed Ahmad Khan to impart modern, high-quality education among minority communities and downtrodden sections of society.
“The college imparts teacher education to students of all communities and faiths without discrimination. It is our immense pride that the college has been the alma mater of numerous distinguished educators, scholars, and public figures.”
The college held permanent affiliation with Magadh University, Bodhgaya from 2007 to 2018. Following university jurisdictional restructuring, the college now comes under the permanent affiliation of Patliputra University, Patna, Bihar.
Today, the institution is led by dedicated trustees and administrators — with Dr. Md. Jahangir Khan as the visionary Founder & Secretary, and Md. Adnan Nawaz Khan actively serving as the Secretary of the College. The institution is continuously striving hard towards accreditation by NAAC and NIRF, reaffirming its dedication to nation-building, pedagogical innovation, and ethical human values.
